At this point of the month, you’re probably getting ready for the release of Mass Effect: Andromeda early next week. While I recommend caution and patience when waiting for new games to release, versus pre-ordering and then being disappointed, I actually went against my own advice for this particular game. The primary reason being, it’s fucking Mass Effect. I mean, I’ve been a huge fan of the game since I first played Mass Effect 2 and then had to go back and play the original Mass Effect game to get the full story. I was addicted, and replayed the game up until Mass Effect 3 released. Played the multiplayer, became more addicted, and I’ve been (not really) patiently waiting for a new installment.
With EA backing this game, and a few other factors (like missing customization options that were present in previous games) to consider, I still decided to pre-order. I mean, why not? I’ll still enjoy the game, and the multiplayer is surely good enough to keep me (and my small group of ME friends) busy for months on end. I don’t mind some missing customization (it’s nitpicking.) I don’t mind EA either, so long as they keep the stupid microtransactions where they belong, and don’t spam me with ads every day. (I’m looking at you, 2k Sports.) So, if you wanna find me in-game when the game launches/shortly after, add me on Origin. That’s right, I bought this on PC. Origin name is NeXusN9ne, send me a friend request and let me know where you found me from.
So, while we wait for the approaching deadline, I’ll just leave a few trailers for you to drool over.
Mass Effect: Andromeda releases March 21st, Origin users can begin early downloads this Friday, March 17th.
